SALES ENGINEER (32-40 uur)
The function
As a Sales Engineer, you translate requests for quotations into detailed proposals and technical drawings. You have an affinity with steel construction and logistics, and you enjoy solving ‘logistical puzzles’ within the quality requirements of Almacon Storage Systems. You contribute ideas to technical designs, discuss solutions with customers, and work with experienced colleagues to create realistic, feasible proposals. You don’t need to be a specialist yet; we will teach you how to develop mezzanine floors, design structures, and apply strength calculations.
After your training period, you will be given a lot of freedom in the design of projects. You will work on them independently in 2D and 3D using various drawing programs, including Tekla and CAD. You will maintain contact with (international) customers: you will follow up on quotes, answer questions, and proactively contribute ideas for solutions. In this way, you will make an important contribution to the success of Almacon.
These are your tasks
Receiving, registering, and processing requests for quotes, including:
*Customer contact in Dutch, English, and German
*Presenting a design
*Designing constructions
*Performing strength calculations
*Calculating the price
*Checking the quotation
Following up on quotations issued and monitoring follow-up
Contributing ideas for improving standard quotations and implementing changes
What we ask
- You have completed a technical higher professional education program, for example in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering or similar.
- You have at least 2 years of work experience.
- You enjoy working in a team and you like to ask your fellow designers lots of questions.
- You have communication skills that you use when following up on quotes. You therefore communicate fluently in Dutch and English; German is an advantage.
What we offer
- Competitive salary: between € 2,900, – to 4,500, – based on 40 hours and depending on education and experience
- Travel allowance: If you have your own car and you live further than 10 km. from Almacon you will receive a reimbursement of 0,23 euro cents per km
